Hi, I’m Barb Milwood.
I am so glad your'e here. My love of design started long before Happy Habitat. Over the years, I have had many opportunities to put my undergraduate degree to work creating beautiful, functional SPACES for my family and friends. What began as a creative outlet eventually became something I knew I wanted to pursue more fully. So, here we are.
Today, I am both the founder of Happy Habitat Design Co. and a REALTOR serving North Texas, allowing me to bring together two things I love: helping people create SPACES that feel like home and helping them prepare for what comes next. Whether I am reimagining a home office, creating a dorm room or nursery, helping make a senior living space feel familiar and comfortable, or staging a home to help buyers see its full potential, I believe thoughtful design can make a meaningful difference. My approach blends beauty with function while working within real-life budgets and, whenever possible, making the most of what you already have. As a REALTOR, I also bring a unique perspective to staging, looking at a home not only through a designer's eye, but through the lens of how buyers experience a property. Whether you are settling in, changing things up, or getting ready to sell, my goal is to make the process easier and create a space that feels thoughtfully pulled together.
